Fri. 28th to Sun. 30th May '43....Can you imagine Three Stars in one big Picture....Tortilla Flat, from Steinbeck's gayest Novel...." The imprint indicates that 250 copies were printed. 6.75" x 11.5" not bound. Book condition: Very Good. This broadsheet is rare and would be a striking addition to any Steinbeck collection.

Paul "Hucklebuck" Williams (1915 – 2002) was an American blues and rhythm and blues saxophonist and composer. In his Honkers and Shouters, Arnold Shaw credits Williams as one of the first to employ the honking tenor sax solo that became the hallmark of rhythm and blues and rock and roll in the 50s and early 60s.

Despite the faintness of Smith's signature and the overall condition of this item, it is interesting memorabilia from early Houston. Smith served as mayor from 1886 to 1890.
