Contains words and music to 15 songs written or co-written by Cowboy Copas, including: Are You Honest; Dolly Dear; If I Bring Home The Bacon; My Blues Are Gone; Night Plane To Memphis; and ten more. 12" x 9" Cowboy Copas (1913-1963) was born Lloyd Estel Copas in Muskogee, Oklahoma. During his career, he appeared on more than 200 radio stations as well as the Grand Ole Opry, and recorded many songs. Copas was killed in the same plane crash that took the life of Patsy Cline.

He began entertaining as a boy, traveled to England with his family act, then discovered country & western music in the 1930s during the American hillbilly craze. Lester is credited with raising England's morale during the blackouts of World War II, performing on the radio as Harry Lester and his Hayseeds. He retired in 1957.
