We trade in antiquarian books and documents that reflect the history of farming and farmers in the USA. Our interest ranges from the survival skills of Native Americans and colonial planters through the westward migration of settlers and ranchers. Life on the farm means clearing land, raising crops, animal husbandry, farm equipment, homemaking, and family life. Our intent is to pay homage to the farmer, the homesteader, the farmer’s wife and helpmate, and to the thousands of immigrant farm workers who toil for mere subsistence. As we follow the paper trail of agricultural history, we support the current efforts of American Farmland Trust. No farms, no food.
