13 COMMUNISTS SPEAK TO THE COURT
NY: New Century, 1953. First Edition. Original Wraps. pp: 95, erratum. 7.75" x 5.25" Very Good. Item #033198
The 13 were arrested in June, 1951, and their trial in Federal Court at New York began in March, 1952. "The thought-control trial was held under the infamous provisions of the fascist-like Smith Act before a rigged jury, with framed-up testimony provided by paid stool-pigeons and professional informers, and in an atmosphere of hysteria directed not only against Communists, but against all opponents of the war in Korea and all advocates of peaceful and friendly relations with the Soviet Union and People's Democracies of Europe and Asia."
