Jimmie Rodgers Snow, born in 1936 to Minnie and Hank Snow, began a recording career with RCA, was saved and became a preacher. "For over 30 years Jimmie pastored Nashville's Evangel Temple. The Nashville church became a familiar place of worship for many country stars. From Johnny Cash to Kris Kristopherson, artists like Connie Smith and the father of Bluegrass, Bill Monroe would make their way to the church of the country music stars. Although many stars have come and gone, for almost a quarter of a century Jimmie Snow was the host of Grand Ole Gospel Time at the Grand Ole Opry..." [from the Jimmie Snow website].
