Cowboy Copas (1913-1963) was born Lloyd Estel Copas in Muskogee, Oklahoma. During his career, he appeared on more than 200 radio stations as well as the Grand Ole Opry, and recorded many songs. Copas was killed in the same plane crash that took the life of Patsy Cline.
