AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED AND QUIT-CLAIM DEED FOR A RAILROAD RIGHT-OF- WAY IN ARAPAHOE COUNTY, COLORADO, 1895

1895. Original manuscript. Two items, quarto and folio. (1) ALS on letterhead of The Florence & Cripple Creek Railroad Co., datelined Victor, Colo.,, May 20th, 1895, enclosing a "quit claim deed for a right of way over and across the 'Granite' Lode Mining Claim #7861 Gov. Survey. Mr. V.H. Cour will upon his arrival at Denver explain to you the location of the spur line proposed...." Signed by Charles John, Agent for the railroad. (2) Printed quit-claim deed, accomplished by hand, between Robert H. Reid of Arapahoe County and Wm. E. Johnson, Trustee. For the sum of One Dollar, Reid quit claims to Johnson a strip of land in El Paso County for a right of way on the Victor-Altman spur, 50 feet wide and containing four-tenths of an acre.
