KING EIGHT CYLINDER: 10,850 MILES WITHOUT STOPPING THE MOTOR.

Detroit: King Motor Car Co., [1915]. First Edition. Softcover. 16pp; illustrated throughout from photographs; covers and highlights in orange. Printed inside the cover is a AAA letter testifying that a stock King Model E, 8-cylinder, 7-passenger touring car ran day and night without motor stop for 14 days on the Sheepshead Bay Speedway and Long Island Motor Parkway. The point was to show that the King "could be run continuously for a greater mileage that the average motorist puts behind him in two years, without a single replacement (except tires), and with a minimum of owner's attention and labor expense." Photographs by Lazarnick show the "Long Island Highways," the King on the road, being serviced with the engine running, crowds at the start and finish lines, &c. Bound in pictorial wrappers. 9" x 6" Very Good. Item #039837

[Unrecorded by WorldCat, which does find the NYPL holding of an instruction manual for the King 8 Cylinder.].
