[This vintage gold & silver mine prospectus is unrecorded by World Cat.] Oroville, situated four miles south of the Canadian border in the Okanogan Highlands in north-central Washington, has a population near 2,000. The town was established as Oro in 1892, ten years before the date of this prospectus. Of the 1,694 mining claims that had been filed, only 37 remain active, according to information published by the "The Diggings."
